How we can help
|
- Have you picked the site?
Many wedding sites and other venues have preferred or
exclusive vendor lists, from which you must select a band. If
you want to select a group not on their list, you must get their
approval ahead of time. Check with your site coordinator first.
If Gabe Lucas Piano Productions is not one of the vendors on
such a list, we will speak directly with the site coordinators.
|
- We'll get to know the site coordinator.
If it's a site at which we've never worked before, we will call
up the coordinator and discuss some of the site particulars.
Furthermore, if time permits, we will schedule a time to meet
in person with the coordinator before your event happens. We
find that this proactive effort to introduce ourselves and
learn about a new site builds a better working relationship
and makes your event go that much smoother. Please note that
we usually will only propose this when the site is foreign to
us, and we can find a mutually convenient time to meet there.
If you want to ensure an on-site meeting, we may need to charge
for our time.

|
- We'll designed an extensive questionnaire.
Prior to our no obligation consultation with you, we will send
you a packet will a list of questions specifically about your
wedding. We ask that you fill this out and send it back to
us prior to our meeting with you, so that we can maximize the
efficiency of our face-to-face meeting.
Feel free to download our wedding questionnaire (pdf file),
regardless of whether you plan to work with us. We think you'll find it useful
for helping you think about all kinds of issues regarding music for your wedding.
Yes, it's over 15 pages long! However...1) We would rather cover all details
than forget something important, and 2) Many parts of the questionnaire contain
our comments and recommendations on various music-related subjects.
|
- To dance...or not to dance.
Do you want music that's lively or mellow? Is the band
to provide background music for a cocktail reception, or festive
music for dancing? If your event is outdoors, or in a quiet
neighborhood, there may be certain sound restrictions. Check to
see whether having amplification or drums will be a problem.

|
- We can bring a keyboard, schedule a tuning for your piano, or have a piano delivered.
A keyboard is the most economical option, at $100. To get a tuner for your piano
will cost around $125. Upright piano deliveries start at around $300, and baby grand
deliveries start at around $600. Keep in mind these prices for pianos and tuners
often go up during the holidays and other peak periods, when demand is high.
