    Notes

  1. One of our vocalist also plays percussion, which is accepted at the Gamble Center. She can bring instruments such as claves and shakers to provide a background percussion sound.
  2. All combinations can sound as classical, as jazzy, or as contemporary as you want. Although a flute is used mostly for classical music, and a bass is used mostly for jazz music, both can transcend different styles to provide a variety of musical sounds. At Gamble, song selection is much more important than the configuration of instruments.
  3. The classical guitar, and to some extent vocals, are the hardest instruments to hear without amplification. Although you should not be discouraged from those options, be advised that their sounds do not carry as well outside without amplication.
