Songs
Song request policy
- We cannot guarantee that every song in our library can be played
by any ensemble configuration. For example, many rock and classical
tunes require specific instrumentation.
- You must inform us no less than 60 days of your event what songs you
definitely want to hear. We cannot guarantee the ability to
honor song requests within 60 days of your event. The reason is that
if we are providing a large ensemble, then we may need to create and rehearse
new arrangements to satisfy your requests.
- We will then let you know which song requests:
- Will work with the planned ensemble configuration.
- Won't work with the planned ensemble configuration.
- Will only work with additional arranging.
- We don't have.
- Rock and classical songs are more likely to require specific
instrumentation or additional arranging. Jazz, swing, Latin,
ballads, and waltzes are more easily adaptable to almost any
configuration.
- Depending on the number of song requests requiring additional
arranging, which songs they are, and the amount of work involved,
we may be willing to do some of the arranging at no cost, or we
may ask you to pay for that expense.
- Please do not feel the need to specifically request a large
number of songs. If you are planning a wedding, we obviously
need to know the ceremony music, your first dance, and any other
specific dances (father/daughter, last dance, etc.). Other than
that, we suggest that you provide a few ideas of what you like.
However, our philosophy is to remain flexible based on audience
reaction, which can be very hard to predict. The more leeway
we have, the better.
