Gabe Lucas: Owner, Pianist, Bandleader

Gabe has played piano professionally in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1987, specializing in private events: weddings, bay cruises, banquets, receptions, conventions, New Year's celebrations, and Christmas and holiday parties. Past clients include 2000 presidential candidate Bill Bradley, California Governor Gray Davis, other dignitaries, and hundreds of companies and private individuals. Gabe is one of the featured musicians at The Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden Center in Palo Alto, The San Rafael Elk's Lodge, The City Club of San Francisco, The Silicon Valley Capital Club, The Club at McInnis Park San Rafael, Blackhawk Automotive Museum, and The San Francisco Maritime Museum, to name just a few. In 1990, Gabe played keyboard for Beach Blanket Babylon, a long-running and immensely popular San Francisco cabaret show. He has been on the faculty at the Stanford Jazz Workshop for several years, working primarily with the vocal program.

Gabe has a background in areas other than music. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematical and Computational Science from Stanford University. He has also earned a Master's degree in Information Management and Systems from Univeristy of California at Berkeley, and a Master's degree in Mathematics from San Francisco State Univeristy. He is active in the mathematical and technology fields, and is currently on staff as an instructor at San Francisco State.

Other Musicians

Gabe's associates are equally as talented, having played with some of the great music performers of all time. They have worked with the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Frankie Avalon, The Temptations, Full Faith and Credit, Branford Marsalis, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Columbia recording artist Monte Croft, Herbie Hancock's drummer Gene Jackson, and Rachel Ferrell, among others. They have performed across the country, from New York City to Las Vegas to Los Angeles, as well as internationally, from Australia to Tokyo.

In addition to having performed in thousands of hotels and convention centers in the Bay Area alone, Gabe's music associates are active educators in the music community. They are faculty members at institutions including Stanford University, the Stanford Jazz Workshop, School Of The Arts, and the Monterey Jazz Festival. They have also worked many smaller music clinics throughout the country. Many of them are arrangers and composers as well as talented performers.
